A cosy country gem in central Cornwall tucked away in the Truro AONB

Swallows’ Cottage is a cosy traditional thatched cottage with all mod cons, perfect for short or long stays—with your baby and your dog!

  • “We only booked Linda's cottage when we were already on our way to Cornwall. The cottage stood out because it was so tastefully decorated and the photos looked very inviting. In reality, it turned out to be even more beautiful than in the photos. Perfectly decorated down to the last detail! The house, the garden and the area are so beautiful that you actually want to be there all day. We took beautiful walks to the various creeks in the area. Also, the house is nicely centrally located in West Cornwall so you can reach all the beautiful places within an hour. The “Everhot” cooker is really fantastic. We will most definitely come again. Linda is really super attentive and friendly. Highly recommended to stay here.”

  • "Thank you Linda for the extraordinary week we spent in your piece of heaven! Your little house has been restored with great taste and elegance down to the last detail. Well furnished, hyper equipped, quiet. In the middle of nature but close to everything, the location is really ideal for lovers of beautiful gardens that we are. Everything we love, we already dream of coming back!!

  • "Peaceful. Comfortable. Private. Very well designed and built annex. Perfect stay for us for two days. Very comfortable bed. Great sofa. Tiny but perfectly formed kitchen (it’s not for cooking meals but ideal support if you eat out). I would definitely want to stay again".

  • "The Annexe which was just perfect for my husband and I is attached to the hosts beautiful thatched period home. Our accommodation had been tastefully designed and furnished offering a very comfy bed with luxury linen. From the upstairs beamed bedroom you have a glorious view over the fields to greet you as you wake up each morning, which was a delight. This cosy private annexe with a small enclosed walled garden area, provided all the modern conveniences you would expect self catering on a short break. We could not fault it 5* The location is rural, peaceful and tranquil, a walkers paradise with so many wonderful National Trust and English Heritage sites to visit, only a stones throw away. Sadly, we ran out of time and feel the need to plan a return visit. Highly recommend Linda's lovely annexe, the area is stunning".

  • "If you want peace, tranquility and beautiful surroundings look no further than Linda's lovely accommodation. Attached to a lovely cottage and gardens that looks like it's out of a magazine. I aspire for my garden to be the same. The annexe is a great place as a base and is very easy to get to north and south tourist spots. 2 lovely little dogs may come to say hi and are very friendly. Linda is the most attentive host if you need her but gives you complete privacy if you're doing your own thing and has some great stories of local areas and suggestions of places to go. The bed is very comfy and has quality bedding. If you're a cyclist like my partner, take your bike! he said the trails are fantastic as is the scenery. Thank you to Linda for being such a charming host".

  • "Beautifully furnished comfortable Annexe with lovely roll top bath. Lovely garden . Can walk from the house to Old Kea or Combe and Trelissick is a short drive. The Round Wood Iron Age Promentory Fort near Trelissick is well worth a visit".
